Overview
What this notice covers
This notice explains how the public Sudo Pop landing pages on sudo-pop.com handle waitlist signup, email-preference links, and messages sent to the project.
The playable hosted game has its own privacy notice because it handles different information during play, including accounts, saved progress, prompts, AI-powered machine replies, safety checks, and account deletion.
Responsible Person
Who handles this information
Sudo Pop is a personal project operated by Thomas Belkowski. For privacy questions or requests about your information, email contact@sudo-pop.com. That address also handles unsubscribe, support, and security questions. If a privacy or legal request needs a formal contact method, it can be arranged from that address.
Data Collected
The landing page only asks for an email address.
If you join the waitlist, Sudo Pop receives the email address you submit, where the signup came from, timestamps, waitlist status, and any project-update choice you confirm later. The email address is kept for delivery. A protected version of the address is also used for email safety checks and delivery records.
If you request an email-preference link, Sudo Pop receives the email address you submit and uses it to send a private, time-limited link when there are email choices to manage for that address.
If you email the project, the email address, message, and ordinary email details like sender, time, and subject are used to read, route, and answer the request.
Use
Email data is used for waitlist and preference handling.
Landing-page data is used to operate the site, manage the playtest waitlist, prove inbox ownership, send confirmation and preference links, send waitlist or playtest access messages, remember unsubscribe choices, prevent abuse, diagnose delivery or site issues, answer direct messages, and comply with legal obligations.
Where a legal basis is required, Sudo Pop relies on the requested waitlist or preference service, legitimate interests in operating and securing the project, consent for optional project updates, and legal obligations where they apply.
Email Choices
Access emails and optional updates are separate.
Waitlist confirmation, preference links, invite/access-window messages, account/security messages, and unsubscribe confirmations are service or transactional emails. Optional project updates are separate, default off, and require an explicit opt-in by the inbox owner on a confirmation or preference page.
Non-essential project updates can be turned off through the private preference link or an unsubscribe link in the email. A waitlist signup by itself is not treated as marketing consent.
Cookies
No advertising trackers are used on the landing page.
The static landing page does not use advertising cookies, cross-site marketing trackers, or non-essential analytics cookies. Cloudflare and services used for signup or preference forms may process basic request details, security data, and logs needed to deliver and protect the site.
Service Providers
Only services needed to run the site receive landing-page data.
Sudo Pop uses Cloudflare for static hosting, DNS, traffic routing, and security. Other service providers may process limited data only as needed to operate the waitlist and preference forms, deliver requested emails, receive messages sent to contact@sudo-pop.com, keep security and service logs, deploy changes, and maintain the service.
Landing-page email and waitlist data is not sold, shared for advertising, or sent to AI providers. AI providers are part of the playable game privacy notice, not the waitlist form.
Transfers
Providers may process data in multiple countries.
Data may be processed in Switzerland and in other countries where service providers operate, including the EU/EEA, the UK, and the United States. Where required, Sudo Pop relies on available adequacy decisions, provider privacy safeguards, transfer safeguards, or another lawful transfer mechanism.
Retention
Email preferences stay until they are changed or cleaned up.
Waitlist and preference records are kept while the address remains on the waitlist, is linked to a game account, has active email choices, or needs to stay unsubscribed from optional updates. Confirmation and preference links expire quickly. Security, delivery, log, and backup records are kept for limited operational periods.
Unsubscribe or block records may be kept so Sudo Pop does not accidentally re-enable email to that address.
Your Choices
You can avoid or control landing-page email.
- You can avoid entering an email if you do not want to join the waitlist.
- You can request a private link on the Email Preferences page to review or change email choices.
- You can unsubscribe from optional project updates without logging into the game.
- You can contact contact@sudo-pop.com for applicable privacy rights or a mistaken block review.
Age Limit
Sudo Pop is for adults.
The hosted Sudo Pop service is for players 18 or older. The landing page is not intended to collect personal data from anyone under 18. If an under-18 signup or message is discovered, contact contact@sudo-pop.com so it can be removed or kept off future mail.
